The Cross Is Enough: Why You Don't Have to Earn God's Love
Have you ever wondered if you've done enough for God?

Religion Says "Do More"
Throughout history, people have tried to earn God's approval.
Work harder.
Be better.
Follow more rules.
That was happening in the churches of Galatia as well.
After people placed their faith in Jesus, some religious leaders began teaching that faith alone wasn't enough. They insisted believers also had to follow religious requirements to truly be accepted by God.
The Apostle Paul responded with one of the strongest statements in Scripture:
"May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ."
His message was simple.
Jesus plus anything equals a different gospel.
The Cross Changes Everything
The cross reminds us that salvation isn't something we achieve.
It's something Jesus accomplished.
Every one of us has fallen short of God's perfect standard. No amount of good works can erase our sin.
That's why Jesus came.
He lived the perfect life we couldn't live.
He died the death we deserved.
He rose again so we could have new life in Him.
The cross doesn't make bad people slightly better.
It makes spiritually dead people alive.
Following Jesus Changes Our Hearts
Sometimes people hear "saved by grace" and wonder if good works matter at all.
They absolutely do.
But they are never the cause of our salvation.
They are the result of it.
We don't serve because we're trying to earn God's love.
We serve because we've already experienced it.
We don't give because we're forced to.
We give because our hearts have been transformed.
Grace changes motivation.
Is Jesus Your Savior… and Your Lord?
Many people are comfortable calling Jesus their Savior.
Fewer are willing to let Him become Lord.
Making Jesus Lord means trusting Him with every part of life:
Your marriage
Your finances
Your career
Your relationships
Your future
Your decisions
It's choosing to follow His way instead of your own.
Not because you're trying to earn heaven.
But because you've already discovered the One worth following.
You Don't Have to Carry Your Past
Maybe you've convinced yourself you've gone too far.
Maybe you've made mistakes you can't undo.
Maybe religion left you believing you'll never measure up.
The good news of Jesus is that your story doesn't end there.
The cross declares that forgiveness is available.
Grace is available.
Hope is available.
Not because you've earned it.
Because Jesus already paid for it.
